Before
This very fine large house required a bold design with expansive outside spaces for eating and entertaining. This house is situated in an open, windy position so called for a design that sectioned it into rooms with the use of yew hedging (yet to grow!) and topiary to provide more of a sense of enclosure but also to provide some protection from the prevailing wind.
The client requested the feel of the Mediterranean with the planting, so extensive use of lavender, salvias and rosemary planted repeatedly throughout the borders amongst more structural planting of Yew topiary, evergreen shrubs and grasses.
