This front garden of an iconic row of Victorian town houses was largely laid to lawn with a few shrubs along the edges. Two Prunus trees on the roadside were to be retained.
The inspiration for this design came from the beautiful arch details above the front door and the ground floor window, which was reflected in the reclaimed granite setts and pebble detailing within the reclaimed York stone paving. A restrained planting colour palette of blues, whites and yellows mixed in with some grasses helps to soften the hardscaping and the use of box topiary cubes mimic the large, finely cut stone of the house.
